Two years ago, these sweet buyers came to me ready to explore buying their first home, but the timing just wasn’t right.

Not only did these buyers close on their new home using their VA loan, but they also received all of their earnest money deposit back AND were reimbursed for their inspections at closing!

Raluca Pop with Bastion Realty did an amazing job negotiating on behalf of her buyers and making sure they were protected every step of the way. And Waypoint Title absolutely knocked it out of the park by helping us pull off such a quick and smooth closing!

🏡 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽: 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 👎
Rates have been pretty stable this month but ended last week near their highest levels. Most borrowers wouldn't see a change in rate, but may see a difference in the credit or points needed to get that rate.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻 👎
Rates could move higher this week as oil prices rise on increased tensions in the Middle East and markets worry the Fed may hike rates at its next meeting. Any increase may be small, but it's tough to see rates moving much lower from here.

📈 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
• The Fed: Fed Chair Warsh's Jackson Hole speech last week raised concerns that the Fed may hike rates as soon as the next Fed meeting in September to fight stubborn inflation. There is some concern the Fed may hike rates twice before the end of the year, despite upcoming midterm elections.
• Labor data: Several jobs reports come out this week, with Friday's BLS jobs report being the most important. The report will show how many jobs were created in August as well as the unemployment rate. Weak job numbers could help mortgage rates, while stronger numbers could increase the chances of a Fed rate hike in September.
