Edward Jones Financial Advisor: Christy Commerton

Edward Jones Financial Advisor: Christy Commerton Financial Advisor | Northern Kentucky | Business Retirement Plans | Education Savings | Donor Advised Funds | Estate Considerations | Charitable Giving

I grew up in Taylor Mill, KY, where I developed a strong appreciation for community, hard work and helping others. I graduated from Scott High School and went on to attend Thomas More College, where I earned my undergraduate degree while playing collegiate volleyball — an experience that strengthened my discipline, teamwork and perseverance. I began my professional career in sales, where I spent 1

6 years developing strong communication and relationship-building skills. While I valued that experience, I felt a growing desire to pursue a career centered on making a deeper and more meaningful impact in the lives of others. This led me back to Thomas More, where I earned my MBA and discovered my passion for financial services. Helping others has always been an integral part of who I am. Today, as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, I have the opportunity to do just that — working side by side with individuals, families and businesses in my community to help them achieve their financial goals. I am especially passionate about educating people on investing and partnering with them throughout their entire lives to build, manage and ultimately enjoy their retirement. I believe that financial planning is not a one-time event, but an ongoing relationship built on trust, knowledge and shared goals. Through my work in the community, I’ve had the privilege of building meaningful relationships and establishing a reputation as a hardworking and trustworthy professional. I am also a firm believer in supporting local businesses, knowing that when our small businesses thrive, our entire community benefits. With strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, I strive to be a dependable resource for those looking to secure their financial future. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend on our farm, being with friends and exploring the outdoors. I love hiking with my four beautiful dogs, cycling and playing golf — though I’ll admit I’m still working on improving my game! If you or someone you know could benefit from thoughtful, personalized financial guidance, I would love the opportunity to connect. Please feel free to reach out anytime.

Hello, my wonderful friends!

I do not ask for help very often, but my non-profit event that I have been organizing is on the brink of getting cancelled due to low attendees. I am asking you to PLEASE help share this amazing event at the Merchant's Club on September 10th at 6:00 PM to help benefit Sleep in Heavenly Peace. These events are in a series of monthly events designed to highlight impactful charities and inspire our community to give back. To help raise awareness and get donations for these non-profits is near and dear to my heart! Share on Facebook, Instagram, and with friends. I thank you so much for your help, this group is one of the best!

Throughout my adult life, giving back has been one of my greatest passions. Helping others and strengthening our community is something I deeply value, both personally and professionally.

As a financial advisor, I often talk with clients about the impact charitable giving can have. Not only can it be an effective tax planning strategy, but it also allows us to support organizations that are changing lives in our own communities.

That's why I'm thrilled to partner with Amy Tobin and The Merchants Club to launch "Here's to a Great Cause", a series dedicated to spotlighting local nonprofits and raising awareness and donations for the incredible work they do.

I'm proud to invite you to our first event, "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This", benefiting Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Their volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that no child in our community has to sleep on the floor.

I hope you'll come enjoy a great evening while supporting a truly worthy cause. I can't wait to see you there!

Attention Scott High School Eagles Alumni!! There’s something truly special about “Lunch with Al.” What started as a simple lunch has become so much more. It’s become a chance to reconnect with old friends, relive cherished memories, and remember the people and moments that helped shape our lives.

I’m posting many of the photos we looked through the last time we got together. A special thanks to Ed Collins for bringing them to lunch and giving us all the opportunity to take a walk down memory lane.

I can’t begin to express how meaningful these lunches have become. There’s something incredible about seeing faces and hearing names from more than 30 years ago, sharing stories, laughing about old times, and realizing that those connections still matter today. These gatherings are a reminder that while the years pass, the friendships and memories remain close to our hearts.

Our next “Lunch with Al” is Friday, August 28th at Grandview Tavern, and we’ll be meeting at 11:15 AM. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see some new faces along with old friends

ATTENTION TMC ALUMNI!!!

On Tuesday, a group of Thomas More College alumni came together to celebrate the life of our dear friend, Jeff Krohmer, who left us far too soon at the age of 48.

While it was a somber occasion, it was also a beautiful reminder of the impact Jeff had on so many lives. There were plenty of tears, but also countless laughs as we shared stories, relived old memories, and reconnected with friends we hadn’t seen in years. It was amazing how quickly it felt like no time had passed at all. As we honored Jeff’s life, we all came to the same realization: life is simply too short. We shouldn’t wait for tragedy to bring us together. The friendships we built at Thomas More have lasted more than 25 years, and those relationships deserve to be celebrated while we have the chance. With that in mind, we’ve decided it’s time for a reunion! 🖤💙

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 3rd! TMU’s Homecoming game will be that day. Kevin Niehues and I will be putting together a fun day of activities for everyone to reconnect, reminisce, and make some new memories together. Jeff reminded us today of something important: cherish your friends, stay connected, and never take time for granted.

We hope to see all of you on October 3rd. Please spread the word and start reaching out to your fellow Saints. Let’s celebrate the friendships that have stood the test of time.
