Last week with Adopt a Class was one for the books! We had the incredible opportunity to take 15 amazing sixth graders to Northern Kentucky University to see firsthand what higher education can look like for their futures.

A huge thank you to Northern Kentucky University for welcoming us, especially Melanie Hartzel and Kim Clayton-Code. A special shoutout to Al Rust for helping make this experience happen. We are also so grateful to our generous donors who covered transportation costs and helped make this trip possible.

Experiences like this are so important—especially for students who may not always have access to opportunities like visiting a college campus. Being able to open their eyes to what their future could be is something truly special.

And I definitely couldn’t have done it alone—thank you to Megan and Nici for chaperoning with me. There’s no way I was keeping up with 15 sixth graders by myself! 😊

Feeling very thankful to be a small part of these students’ journeys!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve spoken with several individuals who shared that they feel embarrassed about their current financial situation. I want to be clear—there is no shame in where you are today.
I became a financial advisor because I once found myself behind in my own retirement planning. Instead of letting that hold me back, I chose to turn that challenge into a strength. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping people—regardless of account size—gain clarity, confidence, and education around their finances.
Giving back to my community is also important to me. Through volunteering with the Northern Kentucky and Grant County Chambers, I strive to build meaningful connections and support those who may be seeking guidance but aren’t sure where to start.
If you’ve ever felt hesitant about reaching out for financial advice, please don’t be. Everyone deserves access to education and a path forward. I’m always open to having a conversation—no judgment, just guidance.
It’s never too late to begin investing, and over time, the power of compound interest can truly make a difference.
If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d be glad to connect.

Gratitude has a way of grounding us—and lately, I’ve been reflecting on just how much there is to be thankful for.

Competing in a triathlon with Andy, a friend from high school, and Val, my neighbor in the country, reminded me how powerful it is to reconnect with people who have been part of your journey for so long. Those shared experiences, past and present, are priceless. This was both of their first triathlons and I'm so grateful to be a part of that experience.

I think about all the people that have lost their jobs and have trouble finding new employment. Although my job brings its share of stress and uncertainty, it also gives me an even greater sense of purpose. Every day, I have the opportunity to help people work toward their financial goals—and that’s something I’m deeply thankful for.

And of course, none of this would be possible without the constant support and love from my friends and family. They are the foundation that makes everything else possible.

Gratitude and finance may not always seem connected, but when you take a step back, they’re deeply intertwined. When we’re grateful for where we are and who we have around us, we make more intentional, thoughtful decisions about where we’re going—especially when it comes to our financial future.

Feeling thankful today—and motivated for what’s ahead.

Had the opportunity to spend time with my former athletic director and longtime friend, Al Rust, and it reminded me just how valuable strong relationships are—both in life and in business.

The lessons learned through athletics—discipline, teamwork, accountability—don’t just stay on the field. They shape how we show up for others, how we build trust, and how we navigate challenges. Al was someone who helped instill those values early on, and it’s been incredible to carry them forward into my career.

In many ways, financial planning isn’t all that different. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about relationships. It’s about having someone in your corner who knows your goals, keeps you accountable, and helps you stay focused through both the wins and the setbacks.

Just like in sports, success in finance is rarely a solo journey. It’s built on trust, communication, and the people who support you along the way.

Grateful for friendships that stand the test of time—and for the impact they continue to have every step of the way.
