I see many go fund me and similar private benefits and fund raising efforts for businesses who have suffered serious insurance losses and may be temporarily closed. While we love the heart reflected in those efforts, these losses often cause community, employees and owners unnecessary concern that the business owner and the employees will be destitute. However, there is insurance coverage available for essentially every part of the loss, including the loss of income while the business is rebuilding. Loss of income coverage can be used to continue to pay employees if the owner has opted for the coverage (very affordable) and decides to use the money for that purpose.
