A phone call from your bank can feel pretty convincing, especially when the caller knows your name, your branch, or even details about your account.

Scammers can spoof phone numbers and impersonate bank employees to create a sense of urgency. If someone claiming to be from Waypoint Bank asks you to move money, share a security code, click a link, or provide sensitive information, pause before taking action.

When in doubt, hang up and call your local Waypoint Bank branch directly. A real Waypoint employee will not mind you taking a moment to verify who you’re speaking with.
