I am the wife to an amazing man and father, Darin We were married when I was 19 and he was 21 and we started our family shortly after. We have 6 children together. 4 boys and 2 girls. Our first was born in 2000 and our last in 2013. When I was 7 months pregnant with our last little boy, on September 11th of all days, Darin complained of not feeling well. He asked to go to the emergency room to be
seen. We arrived and what ended up being wrong was so much more then we expected. We learned my husband, about to be father of 6 and a still a very young man in his 30's was having kidney failure and needed to be placed on dialysis immediately. His blood pressure was through the roof at 210/108 ! He spent 9 days in the CCU. I tried my best to hold everything together, being pregnant, scared and taking care of him and 5 kids. It was some of the hardest days of our lives. Our love is what held us together. With 6 kids now, our lives are still upside down. Darin takes dialysis 3 days a week. It makes him feel very tried and worn down. He has lost a lot of weight and needs a kidney transplant. Our best case scenario is to to find a living kidney donor. We are asking for prayers for our family, in addition, if anyone would like to consider donating, the 1st requirement is that you have A+/- or O +/- blood type. Our insurance will pay for everything. There's a whole lot of other tests to make sure you're a match. We realize it's a lot to ask anyone to do for a friend or possibly even a stranger, but we're praying there is someone out there who wants to help us. It would be a dream come true to get a transplant and to give our 6 kids a normal life again. If you or someone you know is seriously interested email us at [email protected]
