The Red Cross continues to respond to community needs, providing shelters, food, clean-up kits and supplies. In the first month since Hurricane Ida's landfall, the Red Cross has had 26,390 shelter stays with our partners. We have served more than 761,824 meals, distributed 2,321 cases of water, 31,655 clean-up kits, and distributed emergency relief items to more than 39,647 households. Our staff and volunteers have made 12,696 health services visits, 4,213 mental health visits and 4,148 spiritual care visits. This effort has been supported by 1,960 Red Cross disaster workers.
BLUE ROOF PROGRAM DEADLINE:
25 Parishes were eligible for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ “Operation Blue Roof.” New Blue Roof applications are no longer being accepted. However, The US Army Corps of Engineers will continue working with those who completed the application process and were eligible.
Out of state Hurricane IDA Survivors can reach Louisiana 211 at 800-755-5175.
Energy has restored power to 98% of its Louisiana customers who lost power due to Hurricane Ida. Less than 5,000 customers remain without power. For specific parish and neighborhood information

CRISIS CLEAN-UP HOTLINE EXTENDED:
The Crisis Cleanup Hotline has been activated to support residents in need of assistance. The hotline has been extended until October 28: 844-965-1386

Approximately 50 people spent last night in Red Cross shelters. We also delivered 3,439 meals and more than 200 emergency supplies to storm victims. The following Red Cross shelters are currently open:
