Big changes are coming to the Oregon Health Plan beginning in 2027, and IHN-CCO is working closely with the state and our community partners to help members keep their coverage.

The passage of H.R. 1 brings new work and activity requirements, as well as more frequent six-month renewals, for certain people enrolled in Medicaid. While many details are still being worked out, now is a good time to understand what these changes mean and you can start preparing.

Learn more about H.R. 1 and what resources are available to help those you serve, including how to become an OHP-certified assister: https://ihntogether.org/news/changes-coming-for-oregon-health-plan/

______

At IHN-CCO, building healthier communities starts with building relationships grounded in trust.

As our Tribal Liaison, Laurel Schwinabart works alongside Oregon’s Tribal communities to help remove barriers to care while ensuring healthcare is delivered with cultural respect and understanding. Her work is centered on listening, fostering meaningful partnerships, and recognizing that every Tribe is a sovereign nation with its own unique needs, priorities, and perspectives.

“You need to walk behind the Tribes. You’re not leading them; they’re the ones leading,” Schwinabart said. “You have to be able to understand that and respect the role you have.”

______
