Devin Lawrence Richards, age 38, of Lennon, MI, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes-Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. Devin was born in Owosso, MI, on May 15, 1988. He was the son of Robert Lawrence and Amber Lee (Parks) Richards. Devin graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the Class of 2007, then went on to earn a degree in diesel mechanics from the University of Northwestern Ohio. Devin loved to farm and tinker with machinery. In his younger years, he spent a lot of time outside playing soccer and participating in shooting sports. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Amber; his sister, Nicole (Jon) Brown; and his partner, Courtney Kingsbury. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Janet and Brian Parmenter; many cousins; and his beloved pets, Oreo, Miss, Axel, and Oakley. Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joan and Glen Parks, and Bob and Mary Richards.

Memorials may be made to the Shiawassee Humane Society or the 4-H Shooting Sports of Clinton County. Online condolences can be sent to www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, Michigan.
