The NE San Antonio and Corpus Christi District of First Command had the privilege of celebrating an incredible group of Cibolo High School graduates who have chosen a path of service by committing to the United States Military.

Surrounded by proud families and supportive community members—including City of Cibolo leadership and Mayor Kara Latimer—these outstanding young men and women were recognized for their courage, dedication, and commitment to something greater than themselves.

Our Advisors were honored to personally congratulate each graduate, shake their hands, and share words of encouragement as they embark on this meaningful journey.

Your bravery inspires us all, and your future is bright. Thank you for choosing to serve—your community stands proudly behind you every step of the way.

As I shared previously, Ramon Colon-Lopez’s recent visit to Northeast San Antonio inspired me to reflect on his 20 Silver Bullets, which I’ll be highlighting on the 20th of each month. Here’s the first installment:

CZ Silver Bullet #2: The path to success is not easy, cheap, or quick. It requires getting up earlier and staying up later.

This message resonated deeply during Kendra Lowe’s visit with our district team. As First Command’s Director of Military Spouse Programs, she provided valuable insight into both the progress of the program and the real challenges military spouses face—balancing the demands of clients, careers, and family, often with limited support.

Her perspective was a powerful reminder of the commitment and relentless pursuit to succeed. The sacrifices—early mornings, late nights, and managing both household and professional responsibilities—reflect the very discipline and perseverance highlighted in this month’s Silver Bullet.

Our NE San Antonio and Corpus Christi District of First Command proudly spotlight Financial Advisor Araceli Hernandez — a dedicated advocate for military families and a leader who truly understands the journey.

For nearly a decade, Araceli served as an Army wife, standing beside her husband through moves and the ever-changing rhythm of military life. From Kansas to Georgia, she lived the reality that so many military families know — a life built on resilience, sacrifice, and the strength of community.

Like many military spouses, Araceli once felt unsure about her family’s financial future. That changed at Fort Riley, when a neighbor introduced her to First Command — a moment that gave her clarity, confidence, and a sense of stability in a life full of unknowns.

Today, Araceli proudly serves military families, helping them build financial confidence and feel empowered no matter where duty takes them next.

That experience didn’t just change her life — it gave her a purpose.
Because she’s lived it, she understands it — and she’s committed to making sure no military family has to navigate it alone.
