People often ask me, What Does Homeowners Insurance Actually Cover in Texas? Well, here is something important to remember, NOT ALL POLICIES ARE ALIKE. Your policy may cover more than you think-and less than you assume. Most Texas homeowners know they have homeowners insurance. But ask a different question: "Exactly what does your policy cover?" That's where things often get quiet. Click the link below to discover what else you need to know before it's too late.

🏠 TEXAS HOMEOWNERS: Are you sure your home is REALLY protected?

Most homeowners know what they pay for insurance.

Far fewer know what their policy will actually pay them when something goes wrong.

After more than 41 years helping Texas families with insurance, I’ve seen how one overlooked coverage detail can make a difference of thousands of dollars after a claim.

Before your next renewal, you should know:

✅ Is your home insured for what it would cost to rebuild today?

✅ Is your roof covered at Replacement Cost or Actual Cash Value?

✅ What would your deductible actually cost you out of pocket?

✅ Does your policy cover windstorm and hail?

✅ Do you have flood coverage—or are you assuming your homeowners policy covers it?

I just published a short, easy-to-understand guide:

👉 “Texas Homeowners Insurance: Are You Really Protected?”

It includes 7 questions I believe every Texas homeowner should be able to answer about their insurance.

Read it before you pay your next insurance premium. 👇

And if you're not sure about your answers, my team and I will be happy to give your current coverage a second look.

Ed Cantu reminds you that HURRICANE SEASON BEGINS TODAY! The experts are predicting a below-average hurricane season this year.

That's great news...

But remember:

⚠️ Hurricanes don't read forecasts.

It only takes ONE storm to flood your home, destroy your belongings, leave your family without power, and create financial hardship that can take years to recover from.

Many Coastal Bend residents still remember Hurricane Celia. Others experienced the devastation of Harvey and Hanna. Those storms taught us a valuable lesson:

👉 Hope is not a strategy. Preparation is.

Now is the time to:
✅ Review your homeowners insurance
✅ Understand your hurricane deductible
✅ Consider flood insurance protection
✅ Update your family emergency plan
✅ Make sure your home is insured to today's rebuilding costs

Don't wait until a storm is in the Gulf. By then, your opportunity to prepare may already be gone.

📞 Call Ed Cantu Insurance Agency today at (361) 991-3575 for a complimentary Home, Windstorm, and Flood Insurance Review.

We'll help you identify potential coverage gaps before the next storm threatens South Texas.

Hurricane Season begins Monday — and one of the biggest financial risks facing Texas homeowners is NOT wind damage…

It’s FLOODING.

This week’s heavy rains here in South Texas prove that it does not take a hurricane to flood streets, overwhelm drainage systems, and damage homes.

Unfortunately, many homeowners are shocked to learn that Homeowners and Windstorm policies typically do NOT cover flood damage caused by rising water.

Even just a few inches of water can cause tens of thousands of dollars in uncovered damage.

⏳ Don’t wait until a storm is in the Gulf. Most Flood Insurance policies have waiting periods before coverage begins.
