Ed Cantu hopes you and your family keep safe as you drive throughout our community and beyond. With so much road construction going on, I thought I would share current and upcoming road closures due to the New Harbor Bridge Project.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY
For Immediate Release
April 16, 2026

Ongoing Harbor Bridge Project closure to affect Brewster Street between N Tancahua and N Mesquite Streets.

Brewster Street closure to be in effect April 16 – 20.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning today, Thursday, April 16, Brewster Street will be closed between N Tancahua and N Mesquite Streets through Sunday, April 20. The extended closure is necessary for ongoing demolition operations.

Traffic control devices and message boards will be in place directing commuters to utilize E Port Avenue for the detour route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the detour, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
