What a night to be a RAIDER! 🧡💙

Habersham Central welcomed a loud and rowdy Raider crowd to John Larry Black Field Friday night as the Raiders hosted Stephens County in one of our biggest rivalry games!

This rivalry dates all the way back to 1970, and the Raiders made this one a night to remember — coming away with a dominating 45–7 VICTORY! It marked the most lopsided Habersham Central win over Stephens County in the history of the rivalry!

🏆 ALLSTATE “GOOD HANDS” PLAYER OF THE GAME — PARIS WILBANKS

Senior quarterback Paris Wilbanks received this week’s Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game after an outstanding performance leading the Raider offense.

Paris ran the ball like there was no tomorrow, rushing for 112 yards on 17 carries and FOUR touchdowns! He also added 39 yards through the air.

Great job, Paris, and congratulations on an outstanding performance and earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game! 👏

🏆 ALLSTATE “GOOD HANDS” PLAY OF THE GAME — CREED JONES

Sophomore defensive back Creed Jones earned the Allstate “Good Hands” Play of the Game with a HUGE defensive play in the third quarter!

Creed intercepted a Stephens County pass at the SCHS 40-yard line and took it all the way back to the 4-yard line, coming just a few yards shy of taking it to the house! The Raiders punched it into the end zone on the very next play. 🔥

Great interception and return, Creed! Congratulations on earning this week’s Allstate “Good Hands” Play of the Game!

The Raiders are now 1–1 and hit the road this Friday as they travel to Monroe, Georgia, to take on the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (2–0).

🏈 ALLSTATE | THE BARRETT AGENCY PLAYERS OF THE GAME 🏆

What a night for the Habersham Central Raiders! 🧡💙

The Raiders welcomed longtime rival Stephens County to John Larry Black Field Friday night and came away with a BIG 45–7 WIN!

Following the victory, the Raiders coaching staff selected two student-athletes as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Game, presented by Allstate – The Barrett Agency.

🏆 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME — Kenley Bee

Kenley put together a big night on the ground, carrying the ball 23 times for 108 yards and a touchdown, while also adding 1 reception for 16 yards.

🏆 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME — Corbett Dover

Corbett helped lead a dominant defensive effort with 6 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss totaling 11 yards, 1 sack and 3 QB hits.

Congratulations to Kenley and Corbett on two outstanding performances and on earning this week’s Player of the Game honors!

And a BIG congratulations to the entire Raiders team and coaching staff on a convincing win over our biggest rival! 👏

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month! 💙

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that life insurance is definitely not one-size-fits-all.

Just in the past month, I’ve sat down with people in their 20s, 40s, and 60s to talk about life insurance. Every conversation was different. Different stages of life, different families, different finances, different goals—and ultimately, different needs.

Sometimes the answer is temporary coverage like term life insurance. Sometimes permanent coverage makes more sense. Sometimes it’s a combination of the two. And sometimes, after reviewing everything, the best recommendation may be different than what someone originally thought they needed.

That’s the part of this business I enjoy—sitting down, asking questions, and helping people understand their options instead of simply trying to sell them a policy.

If it’s been a while since you’ve reviewed your life insurance—or you’ve never really sat down and figured out what you need—September is a pretty good time to have that conversation.

Well… better late than never! 😂

Our 10-Year Allstate medallion finally made its way onto The Barrett Agency plaque!

We celebrated our 10-year anniversary in 2025, and here we are now 11 years strong serving our customers and community.

A lot has happened over those 11 years — plenty of growth, challenges, great memories and relationships that mean more to us than anything. We’re incredibly thankful for our team and for every customer, friend and family member who has supported The Barrett Agency along the way.

The medallion may have been a little late… but we’ll proudly take it! 😂💙

Habersham Central hit the road last Friday night for a Week 1 matchup against Hart County in Hartwell. It was a tough night for the Raiders, as Hart County jumped out to a 44-0 halftime lead and went on to win 51-3. Now, the Raiders turn their attention to Week 2 and a familiar rival.

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAYER OF THE GAME — KIERAN WALLACE

Junior kicker Kieran Wallace earned the Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game for his performance on special teams Friday night. Kieran accounted for the Raiders’ points when he drilled a 37-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. He also recorded a couple of touchbacks on kickoffs.

Great job, Kieran, and congratulations on earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game!

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAY OF THE GAME — DRAKE ROLAND

Senior WR Drake Roland earned the Allstate “Good Hands” Play of the Game after hauling in a 38-yard reception that helped set up Kieran’s field goal and put the Raiders on the board in the fourth quarter.

Just another Wednesday behind the desk. ☕️

One thing I’ve learned after all these years in insurance is that no two days are ever quite the same.

One minute we’re helping someone understand a renewal, the next we’re working through a claim, adding a new driver, insuring a new home, or simply answering a question that somebody wasn’t sure who else to ask.
