🎉💙 HAPPY NATIONAL BOSS’S DAY! 💙🎉

Today we’re taking a moment to recognize the guy behind The Barrett Agency — Heath Barrett!

Being a great boss is about more than running a successful business. It’s about leading by example, supporting your team, believing in your people, and creating a workplace where everyone feels valued.

Heath has always believed that taking care of our customers starts with taking care of the people who serve them. We’re thankful for the opportunities, encouragement, and support he gives our team each day.

And while we may give him a hard time every now and then (and he certainly gives it right back 😂), we truly appreciate everything he does for our agency and our community!

Happy Boss’s Day, Heath! Thanks for always pushing us to be our best and for making The Barrett Agency a place we’re proud to be part of! 💙

🏈 ALLSTATE “GOOD HANDS” PLAYER & PLAY OF THE GAME 🏈

Habersham Central hosted Clarke Central Friday night at John Larry Black Field for a BIG Region 8 showdown! 🏴‍☠️🧡💙

The Gladiators took a 21–7 lead into halftime and went on to defeat the Raiders 35–14.

Habersham struggled with turnovers throughout the night, giving the football away five times. Against a talented team like Clarke Central, it’s tough to overcome that many missed opportunities.

Despite the tough loss, we had a couple of Raiders who stepped up and made some BIG plays Friday night!

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAYER OF THE GAME — PRESTON TATUM

Sophomore wide receiver Preston Tatum earned this week’s Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game after an impressive performance on the offensive side of the football!

The young Raider playmaker made his presence felt both through the air and on the ground, finishing with:

🏈 2 receptions for 24 yards

🔥 1 receiving touchdown

💪 11 carries for 58 rushing yards

⚡ 82 total yards from scrimmage

Preston showed his versatility Friday night, making plays whenever his number was called. Whether catching passes or carrying the football, this young sophomore continues to show what he’s capable of on Friday nights!

Great job, Preston! Congratulations on earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game! 🏆

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAY OF THE GAME — CJ DAVIS

Senior linebacker CJ Davis came up with a BIG defensive play late in the first half!

With Clarke Central driving, CJ stepped up and INTERCEPTED a Gladiator pass, returning it 14 yards to give the football back to the Raiders! 🔥

The takeaway gave Habersham an opportunity to put points on the board before halftime, leading to a late field goal attempt.

But CJ didn’t stop with just the interception!

He also put together an outstanding night defensively, finishing with:

💪 12 total tackles — leading the Raiders

🔥 3 tackles for loss

🏈 1 interception with a 14-yard return

💥 1 sack

That’s a heck of a night for a linebacker! CJ was making plays all over the field and leading the charge for the Raider defense.

Congratulations, CJ, on earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Play of the Game! 🏆

🏴‍☠️ NEXT UP: BYE WEEK

The Raiders head into their bye week with a 3–4 overall record and 2–2 mark in region play.

They’ll have an opportunity to rest, regroup, and get ready for another important Region 8 matchup!

🏈 Habersham Central vs. Walnut Grove

Let’s use this week to get healthy, refocus, and come back ready to compete!

🏈 THE BARRETT AGENCY PLAYERS OF THE GAME 🏈

Following Friday night’s 38–8 region win over Apalachee, the Habersham Central coaching staff selected two Raiders as this week’s The Barrett Agency Players of the Game! 🏆🏴‍☠️

🏆 OFFENSE — KENLEY BEE | JR RB

Junior running back Kenley Bee made the most of his opportunities Friday night, finding the end zone THREE times! 🔥

Kenley finished with 30 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, helping the Raiders build an early lead and keep control of the game.

Three trips to the end zone makes for a pretty good Friday night! 😤🏈

Great job, Kenley! Congratulations on being selected by the coaching staff as one of this week’s The Barrett Agency Players of the Game!

🏆 DEFENSE — JONAS OWENS | SR DL

Senior defensive lineman Jonas Owens helped anchor a strong performance by the Raider defensive front.

Jonas led the team with 6 tackles, but his impact went well beyond the stat sheet. His presence up front demanded attention from the Apalachee offense, helping free up his teammates to fill gaps and make plays.

The Raider defense held Apalachee to around 3 yards per rush and fewer than 200 total yards of offense on the night. 💪

That’s what winning football in the trenches looks like — do your job, command attention and create opportunities for the guys around you to make plays.

Great work, Jonas! Congratulations on earning the recognition from your coaches! 🏆

Both of these young men did a great job in their respective roles and helped the Raiders get back in the win column with a BIG region victory!

Habersham Central improves to 3–3 overall and 2–1 in region play and returns home this Friday night for a big region matchup with Clarke Central (5–1, 3–0 Region) at John Larry Black Field.

⏰ Kickoff: 7:30 PM

Let’s keep it rolling, Raiders! 🏴‍☠️

🏈 ALLSTATE “GOOD HANDS” PLAYER & PLAY OF THE GAME 🏈

Back in the win column! 🏴‍☠️

Habersham Central traveled to Winder Friday night and came away with a convincing 38–8 region win over Apalachee!

The Raiders jumped out to an 11–0 lead midway through the first quarter and never looked back, improving to 3–3 overall and 2–1 in region play. 💪🧡💙

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAYER OF THE GAME — SUTTON PORTER

Senior DB Sutton Porter earned this week’s Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game after a big night in the Raider secondary.

Sutton finished with:

🏈 5 tackles
✋ 1 pass breakup
🔥 2 interceptions

That’s exactly what you ask of a defensive back — make the tackle when you need to and create turnovers to give the football back to your offense. Sutton did both Friday night under the lights!

Great game, Sutton! Congratulations on earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Player of the Game! 🏆

🏆 GOOD HANDS PLAY OF THE GAME — PARKS YORK

Make it TWO weeks in a row for Parks York! 👏

Late in the second quarter, Apalachee had driven into Raider territory and lined up for a field goal. Corbett Dover got through and BLOCKED the kick, but the play wasn’t over.

Parks was right there to scoop up the loose football and take it 75 YARDS TO THE HOUSE! 💨🔥🏠

BLOCK. SCOOP. SCORE.

The touchdown gave Habersham a 25–8 lead heading into halftime and gave Parks one of those plays he’ll probably remember for a long time!

Congratulations, Parks, on earning the Allstate “Good Hands” Play of the Game for the second week in a row! 🏆

🏴‍☠️ NEXT UP: CLARKE CENTRAL

The Raiders return home to John Larry Black Field this Friday night for a BIG region matchup against Clarke Central (5–1, 3–0 Region).

⏰ Kickoff: 7:30 PM
📻 Can’t make it? Tune in to WCON / My Country 99.3 FM
