An IMA Student Chapter (IMASC) is a voluntary organization of IMA Student Members enrolled at a recognized institution of higher education, operating under the sponsorship of an IMA Parent Chapter

or IMA Regional Council, to further the objectives of the IMA, especially in matters of concern to students. Our student chapter can support the purposes of student membership in much the same way that a regular chapter helps the Institute serve its regular members.

Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) University of Miami Chapter

WHO WE ARE: The newest accounting organization here at the University of Miami. We represent the IMA, an organization that serves accountants and financial professionals worldwide.
WHAT WE DO: Meetings will involve guest speakers or group discussions that will provide members with both new knowledge and networking opportunities. The IMA is committed to providing its members with the tools necessary to advance their careers.
WHEN WE MEET: We plan on holding one meeting either each week or every two weeks. Meetings should typically last 30-60 minutes. Emails will be sent when our schedule is solidified.

HOW TO JOIN: Join our mailing list by signing up now or shooting an email with your name to [email protected]. From there, we will direct you to a one page application that must be completed and accompanied by a membership fee payment.
WHY JOIN: If you are an accounting or finance major here at the University of Miami, this organization is the perfect opportunity to network with professionals in industries that you may one day find yourself working in. The IMA provides: opportunities to peer network, online career resources, the opportunity to earn the respected CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification, continuing education via online courses and webinars, accounting publications and e-newsletters, and member discounts on professional services.
