🎵 WHEN SCIENCE MEETS MUSIC, HOPE GETS LOUDER.
Dr. Mona Jhaveri has spent her career at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship and purpose.
After earning her Ph.D. in biochemistry, training at the National Cancer Institute and working in cancer research and biotechnology, Mona experienced firsthand one of the biggest obstacles facing potentially groundbreaking cancer treatments: promising science can disappear simply because the funding runs out.
Instead of walking away from that problem, she decided to do something about it.
She created Music Beats Cancer, a nonprofit working to help bridge the critical funding gap faced by entrepreneurs developing innovative cancer-fighting technologies. The organization brings together scientists, entrepreneurs, musicians, philanthropists, patients and families around one powerful idea:
A potentially life-changing cancer innovation deserves the opportunity to survive long enough to prove itself.
And Mona has found a unique way to amplify that mission — through music. 🎷🎶
Music Beats Cancer uses the universal power of music and community to make complex medical innovation more accessible while giving everyday people an opportunity to support promising breakthroughs.
Her journey is an incredible example of what happens when knowledge meets purpose, adversity creates action, and one person decides that an important problem is simply too important to ignore.
We’re proud to feature Dr. Mona Jhaveri and the story behind Music Beats Cancer on Boost TV & Media.
