Elizabeth Snyder, Founder & Broker Principal of Main Street Financial Partners, began her journey in this industry working as a sales agent for a widely known health insurance industry titan. She found herself to be most upset with the ethics of the company while in training as well as in regular practice. Often, she would return home from work a wreck - distraught and in tears. One day she had en

ough of the dishonesty within the insurance industry. She vowed that she would build and run her business built on trust and honesty with her clients. Having been a successful business owner and real estate tycoon, Elizabeth earned her Broker's License and began operating independently. She worked day and night to get her new business started and in little time, she was appointed with every major insurance carrier. In 2012 Main Street Financial Partners opened its doors and set out to become the foremost client oriented senior insurance and financial services firm in Eastern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. We are committed to establishing and building upon our relationships with each one of our clients on an individual basis. 🚨 “I was outraged. I thought about my own parents. I thought about my grandparents.”

That’s where Elizabeth Snyder’s passion for helping people understand Medicare really began.

Because when people need Medicare the most, they can suddenly find themselves navigating a system filled with acronyms, rules, enrollment periods, eligibility requirements, and benefits they may not even realize they’ve earned.

Medicare. Medicaid. CMS. Dual eligibility. Extra Help.

It can feel like an entirely different language.

And Elizabeth couldn’t stop thinking about one question:

How are our parents and grandparents supposed to navigate all of this alone?

That frustration became a mission.

At Main Street Financial Partners, we believe these programs can provide incredible benefits — but only if you understand how to access them and how the pieces fit together.

You worked for these benefits.
You earned them.
You deserve to understand them.

That’s why education comes first at Main Street.

Before you make a Medicare decision based on something you heard from a friend, neighbor, commercial, or family member, sit down with someone who can help you understand your situation.

🚨 WAIT… YOU CAN DO THAT WITH MEDICARE?!

This is exactly why Medicare can be so frustrating.

Most people know about Annual Enrollment.

But ask someone what happens between January 1 and March 31 and you might get a blank stare. 👀

That period is called the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP)—and if you’re already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, it may give you an opportunity to make a change, including returning to Original Medicare.

But here’s where things get complicated…

Changing coverage isn’t always as simple as saying, “I want my old plan back.”

Depending on your situation and the coverage you want, medical underwriting may come into play for a Medicare Supplement policy.

Then there are Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) triggered by certain life events.

Moving out of your plan’s service area?
Entering certain institutional care?

As Elizabeth puts it, you may have just found your “Willy Wonka Golden Ticket.” 🎟️✨

The problem?

How is the average person supposed to know all of this?

Most people navigate Medicare enrollment only a handful of times in their lives—yet they’re expected to understand a system filled with enrollment windows, exceptions, deadlines and rules that can affect their healthcare and their wallet.

That’s why Elizabeth’s advice for someone approaching 65 is simple:

⏰ Don’t wait until your 65th birthday to start figuring this out.

Start educating yourself about three months before you become Medicare eligible so you have time to understand your options and make an informed decision.

At Main Street Financial Partners, we don’t expect you to become a Medicare expert.

That’s our job.

📞 Turning 65 soon—or wondering whether you have an opportunity to change your current Medicare coverage?

Call 1-800-862-7364 and talk with our team.

Because when it comes to Medicare, what you DON’T know can matter.

08/23/2026

Medicare is personal. Your decision should be, too.

We’ve all heard it:

“My sister loves her plan.”
“My neighbor told me this is the best option.”
“My friend at church said I should choose this one.”

But as Elizabeth Snyder explains in her conversation with Greg from Simplicity, Medicare decisions shouldn’t be based on what worked for someone else.

Medicare Advantage may be a great fit for some people. A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan may be better for others. And while cost matters, your decision goes far beyond the monthly premium.

Your healthcare needs.
Your doctors.
Your prescriptions.
Your budget.
Your preferences for how and where you receive care.

They’re personal — and your Medicare coverage should reflect that.

The most important thing is understanding the differences and tradeoffs before you make your decision.

At Main Street Financial Partners, our goal is to educate first so you can make an informed choice based on your situation — not Aunt Sally’s.

📞 Ready to understand your Medicare options?

Don’t choose a Medicare plan because someone told you what worked for them. Choose it because you understand why it works for you.

08/21/2026

Medicare isn’t just about the premium. It can affect the care you receive for the rest of your retirement.

In a recent conversation with Greg from Simplicity, Elizabeth broke down one of the areas of Medicare that can cause a lot of confusion: Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage.

That red, white and blue Medicare card represents Original Medicare — Parts A & B. When someone chooses a Medicare Advantage plan, their Medicare benefits are administered through a private insurance company instead.

And that distinction matters.

Plans, costs, provider networks and benefits can change. What worked for you last year may not look exactly the same next year. That’s why understanding what you’re choosing — and reviewing those choices — is so important.

Elizabeth’s message is simple:

Don’t choose a Medicare option based on the premium alone. Understand how Medicare actually works first.

Whether you ultimately choose Original Medicare with supplemental coverage or a Medicare Advantage plan, take the time to understand the basics, the differences and what those differences could mean for your doctors, your healthcare costs and your retirement.

As Elizabeth says, this is something that could affect you for the rest of your retirement. Spending 30–45 minutes getting educated now can help you make a much more informed decision.

At Main Street Financial Partners, education comes first. We’ll sit down with you, explain your options in plain English and help you understand what you’re actually looking at.

You shouldn’t have to become a financial expert to feel confident about your future.

Medicare. Retirement income. Long-term care. Insurance. Protecting what you’ve spent a lifetime building.

These are big decisions — and too often, people are expected to figure them out on their own.

At Main Street Financial Partners, we believe something different:

Educate first. Sell second.

That means taking the time to explain your options, answer your questions and help you understand the why behind the decisions you’re making.

Because this isn’t just about policies, accounts or numbers on a page.

It’s about your life. Your family. And the future you worked for.

“I thought, ‘I’ve gotta change this system.’”

27 years ago, Elizabeth Snyder saw something that didn’t sit right with her.

People were reaching a point in life when they needed guidance the most — retirement, Medicare, healthcare decisions — and suddenly they were expected to navigate a system that could feel overwhelmingly complicated.

She thought about her own parents. Her grandparents.

And she was outraged.

For a moment, she thought the answer was to change the entire system.

Then she realized something:

You don’t have to change the whole system to make a difference. You can make a difference for one person at a time.

So Elizabeth opened a small agency in Gilbertsville, PA.

People actually asked her:

“Do you really think people are going to walk into an agency for help with Medicare?”

That was 27 years ago.

And they did.

Because people weren’t looking for another brochure or another phone number to call.

They wanted someone to sit across the table from them, answer their questions, explain their options and help them actually understand Medicare.

That mission still drives Main Street Financial Partners today.

Educate first. Help people understand. Make a difference — one client at a time.

If you or someone you love is approaching Medicare and doesn’t know where to begin, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

08/14/2026

Sometimes the best financial advice is to do nothing at all.

At Main Street Financial Partners, we’re not here to move a contract or change a policy just to make a sale.

If changing your annuity, auto, homeowners, or other financial product doesn’t leave you better off, we won’t recommend it.

In fact, some of our proudest moments are when we’ve told someone, “What you have is already right for you.”

And that kind of honesty matters. We’ve had family members become clients because they saw firsthand that our recommendations weren’t based on making a sale—they were based on doing what was right for the person sitting across the table.

Our philosophy is simple:

Educate first.
Sell second.
The right solution.
For the right reason.
For the right person.

Because your financial future deserves more than a sales pitch. It deserves a conversation you can trust.

Turning 65 should feel like a milestone—not a homework assignment. 💙

But then the Medicare mail starts arriving.

Part A. Part B. Part C. Part D.
Medicare Advantage. Supplements. Prescription coverage. Enrollment deadlines.

And suddenly, a milestone you should be celebrating can feel completely overwhelming.

What if I choose the wrong plan?
What if my doctor isn’t covered?
What if my prescriptions cost more than I expected?
What if I miss something important?

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
