This REUIRES certain businesses (S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, LLC) to report information about their owners to the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network commonly known as FenCEN. FenCEN is responsible for safeguarding the US financial system from illicit use. By collecting and sharing this information with law enforcement, financial institutions and other authorized users, Fen CEN is making it harder for bad actors to hide or benefit from their il-gotten gains.
