Congratulations to Dwayne Roberts who is our Swallows Scholars recipient for August! Mr. Roberts is the PE teacher at Burks Elementary in Monterey. He will use the grant funds to purchase adaptive fitness equipment including Drums Alive exercise balls, stability balls and drumsticks. In addition to the grant check, we gave him a goody bag in appreciation for all that he does as a teacher! Kelly Swallows, of Swallows Insurance, is shown presenting the grant check to Mr. Roberts.
The Swallows Scholars grant is open to any teacher in Dekalb, Overton or Putnam counties and may be accessed on our website at SwallowsInsurance.com. Look for the button in the right-hand corner for a fillable form that can be submitted online.

During the 2026 Tennessee Junior Beef Expo, held in Lebanon, Tenn., the Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association (TCA), with the generous support of industry partners, purchased three show steers at premium prices to support Tennessee youth and give back to families in need. Following the expo, the cattle were harvested and processed. The resulting beef will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, providing more than 2,600 pounds of high-quality beef to help feed families throughout the region. This initiative provides a meaningful opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of Tennessee’s youth livestock exhibitors while also making a lasting impact in the community. By turning award-winning livestock into nutritious food, TCA and its industry partners are able to support the next generation of agricultural leaders while providing a valuable source of protein to families facing food insecurity.
We are proud to partner with TCA and support this initiative!

We are proud to partner with SFM Mutual Insurance Company in making a donation to support renovations to the Heart of the City Playground. The Playground has been such an asset for our community, and we are happy to help in their revitalization efforts!
