I have had several people reach out to me after receiving their property tax assessment letter. I have attached a great educational video from Steve Pierce explaining the value increase and how it impacts you. The tax rate was decreased from 2025 to 2026 so the impact of the increased value will not be as significant as it may appear on the value.

My favorite part of being a mortgage lender is educating people on how to get financially prepared to buy a home and that starts with the basics- credit and budgets. I had the opportunity to speak to the Empower members of the UC Workforce Connections yesterday and it filled my cup!

Empower Upper Cumberland takes bold steps to lift families out of generational poverty across our 14 county region. The stories I heard of how Empower helped their families sustain their jobs, family support to help them reach their life/financial goals were inspiring. It is a wonderful program helping our community.
