Hey FB Friends! I just know it my heart this post finds you all well. Ok, so update on GlamShaks' Project 2. When I tell you my reserve nerve is being stretched! Still awaiting release of the property from an entity I will not name. It's been over nine months. Not sure what they're doing, but we're trying to invest in Detroit. In the interim, high interest rates, as well as the winter climate have slowed the sale of our Asbury Park property, but we're believing God will send the right buyer for this beautiful, fully renovated bungalow soon. We need the WHOLE village to pray! Our success is the community's success.

Dear Prospective Buyers, homeownership can be a reality, even if you have minimal or no savings for a downpayment and closing costs. Downpayment assistance (DPA) is available and, depending on where you live and buy, the assistance can be substantial! Now, this doesn't mean you throw savings to the wind and not try to save anything- you'll need money in the bank for establishing utility accounts and, of course, purchasing household items, and perhaps new furniture. We still want to be responsible and wise. My point is there's money available at the federal, state, and county levels. Contact lender Erica Simpson Kemp (313) 693-5643 for current programs and qualifications. Despite higher interest rates, which are decreasing, it is a good time to buy. Spring is around the corner, and Realtors are believing 2024 will be a good year for homebuyers.

Learning about down payment assistance programs could help create a path to homeownership for more Black families.

Hey, hey, hey FB Friends & Fam! We hope this post finds you all in the best of health and spirits. We prayed mightily that you would enter the new year with blessed assurance and great expectation of what God is going to do in your and your loved ones' lives in 2024. Expect the unexpected things, the loving things, the joyful things, the wonderful things, the healing things, the gracious things from an incredible God that can do all things!!

As an update, our first GlamShaks project is still on the market. BOOOO.
