🚨 Planning to apply for or renew your work permit soon?

USCIS will release a new edition of Form I-765 on September 15, 2026. The agency says older editions will be rejected beginning that same day. There is currently no grace period announced.

A new edition of Form I-539 will also become mandatory on September 15.

Before submitting either form, confirm that you are using the current edition directly from the USCIS website. Do not assume a form you previously downloaded is still accepted.
