The Montgomery County Farm Bureau hosted “Breakfast at the Barn” at P6 Farms in Montgomery, Texas, bringing together local and state elected officials with Farm Bureau members to discuss issues affecting agriculture in the county and across Texas. Five local producers representing a range of commodities shared firsthand perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing their operations. Afterward, elected officials and ag leaders engaged in conversation about policy solutions as well as emerging issues that may require attention in the future. The event created a space for relationship building and a better understanding of how public policy can support the continued strength and viability of agriculture in Montgomery County.
