It’s that cozy time of year again where we all gather together with family and friends to enjoy each other’s company. There’s nothing you wouldn’t do to protect those you love. One area of our lives we can address to alleviate burdens in the future on our family is taking care of our final expenses. I am contracted in North Carolina and South Carolina (with many other states in the near future) with multiple carriers like Mutual of Omaha, Liberty Bankers, Aetna, etc. We have day one coverage meaning there is no wait period-you’re covered from day one. The companies you see advertise on television, like Colonial Penn, have a two to three year wait period meaning the coverage begins at the end of that time frame.
