Position Overview:

In 2020, Choice Recovery was named the #1 Best place to work by Columbus CEO Magazine. We are growing and looking for additional teammates to join our Collections team. We help consumers who have unpaid medical bills by problem solving, negotiating, and offering solutions to resolve the unpaid debt(s). We are an industry leader who is changing the perception of collections with a leadership development track that guides our personal and professional excellence.
This role is responsible for helping as many consumers as possible get out of debt — achieved by calling consumers and helping them by offering solutions and setting up payment plans that work best for the client and consumer alike. Consultants are required to multi-task daily by managing a large book of business, calling a significant number of consumers, speaking to clients, and brainstorming with teammates to help solve issues.

Who We are looking for:

We are looking for highly motivated go-getters who have a big heart and love customer service. Someone eager to make a positive impact when talking to people on the phone, along with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Someone who can be productive working independently as well as within a team environment, and not afraid of complete transparency with performance numbers. This strong competitor has an incredible work ethic and understands that the more you put in the more you get out of this opportunity. An individual who is a self-starter and is genuine, responsible, goal-oriented, and always trying to get better.

Key Responsibilities:
• Make 180+ manual, outbound calls
per day
• Handle incoming calls, while
maintaining an acceptable outbound call pace
• Organize and manage a book of business with new accounts
added weekly
• Maintain professionalism while resolving challenging situations
• Handle multiple requests from consumers as well as clients while
properly documenting the system and providing timely follow up
when necessary
• Strong math skills to enable setting up payment plans for
consumers
• Process payments of various types over the phone
• Attend monthly team meetings to discuss and help solve issues
• Handle basic medical insurance and credit reporting questions
• Skip trace accounts with missing demographics to establish
contact as well as location information
• Communicate issues timely to Collection Leaders
• Other duties, as assigned

Required Experience & Skills
• Must embody all of Choice Recovery’s Core Values
• Two years of full-time work
experience
• Customer service experience
• Demonstrated a high level of responsibility.
• Genuine, responsible, and goal-oriented
• Strong desire to help people
• Work in a high volume, fast paced, transparent environment
• Excellent communication skills and an effective listener
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional work ethic, with an ability to work independently, as
well as part of a team
• Ability to accept, adapt and champion change
• Utilize online tools, such as social media and web resources, to
gather information quickly

Preferred Experience
• 2 + years of customer service/and or collections experience
• Computer proficiency

As a company, we help consumers who have unpaid medical bills by setting them up on payment plans. Our recovery team also helps unemployed and underemployed consumers find new jobs by connecting them to our partner [re]start, LLC. Through a leadership development track that guides our personal and professional excellence, we are an industry leader who is changing the perception of collections.

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting for the company. Strong analytical skills, a passion for numbers and a drive for exceptional results are essential qualities. The Staff Accountant should be a self-starter who is focused, detail-oriented, enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Confidentiality is a must in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable
- Cuts vendor checks
- Process payroll
- Maintain accurate financials, records, and files
- Assist with month-end close
- Assist with year-end review
- Maintain the weekly department scorecard
- Monthly journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain company workpapers for balance sheet accounts
- Assist with tax supporting workpapers
- Assist with annual budget and monthly variance reporting
- Assist with accounting for additional companies, as needed
- Support various departments with reporting/analytics
- Assist with assigning projects to support team and reviewing results
- Review finance support specialists work
- Special department projects
- Other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Driven individual with a strong level of organization, curiosity and integrity
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost-control principles
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Focus on reviewing and improving department processes
- Ensure internal controls are followed
- Flexible and adept at multi-tasking in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Highly motivated for success and a strong work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and Quickbooks

Key Qualifications:

- Industry experience in accounting considered beneficial but not essential
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
