Moving to a new home can be stressful, but your next move could be your easiest and most affordable yet with a little bit of planning and organization.

Here are 5 moving tips on how to reduce moving costs and plan like a pro!
1. Before you begin packing, make a list of everything, taking note of anything that is broken, duplicated, unused, or unwanted. Determine if anything you’ve decided to part with can be sold or donated. This reduces how much is thrown away and may give you some extra cash.
2. Start collecting moving supplies - there may even be local places that will provide free boxes or newspaper! Think creatively - remember you can use items you already own such as blankets or clothing as packing material for breakable items.
3. Schedule professional movers during low demand times (typically mid-month days are lowest and companies may have lower rates!)
4. Develop a packing plan to ensure that you're organized and ready for moving day! Start packing anything you don't use often - anything you can do ahead of time will help in the long-run!
5. Don't forget to submit a change of address at your local post office.
