Appreciated the opportunity to speak during Northwestern Mutual - Columbus Network Office Day.

2025 was built on many years of work—including some genuinely hard ones. The toughest moments tend to teach the most (which is not my favorite lesson format), and this year was a reminder of that.

Also thankful to share the stage with Scott Blake and Tim Walk and hear their perspectives; it’s always valuable to learn from how others navigate.

Grateful for the clients who trust us and for the team’s support: Tina, Brittany, and Mandie—even when things feel anything but simple.

A quick trip to Arlington, TX for the Northwestern Mutual regional conference meant good conversations, solid learning, and a much-needed break from routine.

It was great catching up with my original study buddy, Gina—we’re still part of the same monthly call group 5+ years later, and usually find a way to reconnect during conferences.

NM at Night was down on the field at the Rangers stadium, complete with games, batting cages, and just enough competition to keep things interesting.

The girls stayed home with their cousin, Judd, and were responsibly unleashed while I was gone (National Walk Your Dog Month timing was not lost on me).

Back home, back to work, and back on walking duty.

Our Story

I grew up in the hills of eastern Ohio on an Angus cow/calf operation with my parents and two younger sisters. Growing up I was very active in 4-H, showing cattle, livestock judging, and athletics, and with two younger sisters, the competition was pretty steep in each of those.

Upon graduation from high school, I headed to Columbus and graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a degree in Business Administration and a specialization in Accounting. While in school, I pursued an internship with Northwestern Mutual and fell in love with the career. I discovered my agricultural background and my financial planning experience made me uniquely qualified to give back to the community which raised me. I want to help make sure the farming industry has the financial security it deserves because it is raising our future leaders, as well as feeding America and the world. Upon graduation, I continued my career with Northwestern Mutual and haven’t looked back since.

You can see my parents, sisters, and I raising, showing, and selling cattle throughout the year.
