A few months ago we added an embroidery machine to the shop. It took a while to learn and dial in, but I did the first successful run this morning. I also played with video editing software. I dialed the video sound down to 50% so it would be subtle, but Facebooked increased the volume for some reason.

I post this at least once a year. Public Service Announcement: you don’t need $1000 in upgrades to be able to shoot well. Every single day I see posts in different groups saying “hey I just bought this [insert favorite gun] what do y’all think I should add for upgrades”? First of all, stop saying “y’all” it makes you sound like an uneducated hilljack. Secondly, before you drop $1000 on upgrades, shoot your gun at the range and learn how to use it, then consider what upgrades YOU think it needs, based on observations and performance, instead of asking people in Facebook groups that have never fired your gun.

I needed extra magazines to use molding mag holders. I could spend $100 on a pair of G***k 43 mags, or $3 in filament to print them myself. I used 100% infill, so they are solid and ready to mold with.

Occasionally I update our products. This magazine holder was always Saddle Tan, but the dye was always inconsistent. I finally changed it to Rustic Brown. This is a dye that I formulated to highlight every flaw in the leather and give it an antique bomber jacket look.

Dark or light? I’m torn. I like the darker grips, but I also like how the engraving pops out on the lighter grips. It’s hard to get these all a consistent color. These are both from the same shipment. They’re supposed to be Cocobolo, but the lighter one almost looks like Oak.

So, the ongoing frustration of tariffs. I paid the vendor the tariff fee and the shipping fee, so that was a total of $85 dollars for $34 dollars worth of product. Today, I received notice that on top of the tariff, I have to pay duty fees, and that includes a duty processing fee from DHL. So this will be a final cost of $121 for $34 dollars worth of product. Apparently all tariffs are duties, but not all duties are tariffs.

For those of you that say "Just buy it in the US", well, from a US manufacturer, they're $1.31 each, verses $0.34 each from Canada.

If you believe the politicians when they say that foreign countries are paying the tariffs, you are sadly misinformed and are lacking critical thinking skills.
