BE ON THE LOOKOUT!
The "RED Flag" pigs and our team are here to remind you: Check fraud scammers send fake checks and ask victims to deposit them, then send back a portion of the money. When the check bounces, the victim is responsible.

RED Flags to Watch For:
• Someone sends you money and asks for some back
• Requests for wire transfers, gift cards, or payment apps
• Pressure to act quickly

Response Plan:
1) Do not deposit the check.
2) Notify your bank, Columbus Bank and Trust, immediately.
3) Sign up for identity protection services if any personal info was shared.

Stay informed. Stay alert. Protect yourself and our community.

Happy Work Anniversary, Kellie! And thank you for the passion, positivity, and heart you bring to CBT. 💙

We’re proud to celebrate our President, Josh Johnson, as the City of Columbus launches its new Serving Our City series, highlighting the people who step forward to strengthen our community.

Josh’s leadership on the Downtown Business Improvement District has been defined by persistence, vision, and a belief in what downtown Columbus can become.

As he shared in the story: “I was the only person that got up,” Johnson recalled, though there were others there in support.

We’re grateful for the leadership Josh continues to pour into Columbus, not only at CBT, but throughout the community.

Every day, residents across Columbus give their time, energy and ideas to make our community stronger.

Today, we’re launching Serving Our City, a new series celebrating the people who step forward to serve on City boards and committees - and the difference they make.

Our first story features Josh Johnson, whose time serving on the Downtown Business Improvement District board has been defined by persistence, vision and a commitment to helping shape the future of downtown Columbus.

These are the people behind the decisions, ideas and community efforts that help move Columbus forward.

Our employees have started showing the "RED Flag" pigs some of our favorite things.

Employment scammers, on the other hand, pose as employers offering easy remote work with high pay. Their goal is to steal personal information or money.

RED Flags to Watch For:
• Rushed interviews
• Fake background checks
• Requests for upfront fees
• Demands for bank information

Response Plan:
1) Stop all communication with the contact.
2) Report the job posting or message.
3) Secure your accounts and change your passwords.

Stay informed. Stay alert. Protect yourself and our community.

Fall has arrived in the Trackside District!

Our downtown planters have officially made the switch to their fall look, and they are gorgeous!🧡 The rich yellows, oranges, purples and greens bring just the right touch of autumn to our downtown streets.

A huge thank you to Wade Hilker and the Central Community College Columbus Agricultural Sciences students for once again working his magic and creating these beautiful displays. We appreciate the time, creativity and care that goes into making each planter something special and helping our downtown look its best season after season.

Next time you're downtown, take a minute to enjoy them for yourself. Better yet, grab a coffee, do a little shopping, enjoy a meal and take a stroll through the district. 🍂

Dine. Shop. Explore. Experience. the Trackside District.

Anna Rudloff brings positivity, honesty, and a steady, down‑to‑earth energy to CB&T. As a Specialist in Loan Operations, she’s the kind of teammate who makes the day better just by showing up — always greeting coworkers with a smile and keeping the atmosphere light, even on busy days.

Outside of work, Anna’s a cat lover with a soft spot for La Riviera Food Truck, her favorite lunch spot in town.

When challenges come her way, Anna stays positive, finds a reason to laugh, and focuses on what she can control. She defines success as the small victories that build toward something bigger, giving her a sense of accomplishment and growth.

We’re grateful for the heart, humor, and authenticity Anna brings to CB&T and to the customers we serve. 💙

“At Columbus Bank, we’re proud to kick off the Columbus Area United Way Pacesetter Campaign and lead by example.”
— Josh Johnson, President & CEO

As a United Way Pacesetter company, CBT contributes a minimum of $10,000 through combined employee and company giving. Our team has shown exceptional commitment for more than 40 years, with at least 90% participation every year — and 100% employee participation for the last 16 years.

We were honored to have Sara Baustert with the Columbus Area United Way and Jonathan Niles with Royal Family Kids Camp join us Friday to share the impact their organizations make in our community.

“Our employees understand that giving back is an investment in the people and organizations that make our community stronger, and we’re proud to come together as one team to make an impact,” shared Josh.

CBT is proud to support the Columbus Area United Way and the agencies working every day to strengthen Columbus.
