911 Service Outages Reported in Mississippi and Louisiana

Parts of Mississippi and Louisiana are currently experiencing outages affecting access to E-911 services due to a fiber line that was cut on Thursday. The outage has disrupted emergency communication systems in several areas.
Local, state, and federal officials are actively working with service providers to restore full functionality as quickly as possible. Crews are on site repairing the damaged fiber line, and updates will be provided as progress is made.
Residents in Lowndes County who are unable to reach 911 are urged to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at (662) 328-6788 until service is restored.
Public safety remains the top priority, and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring emergency services remain accessible during this outage.
