Did you know that one of the biggest factors affecting your credit score is credit utilization?

Credit utilization is the percentage of your available credit that you’re currently using.

Example:

* Credit Card Limit: $1,000
* Current Balance: $300
* Credit Utilization: 30%

As a general rule, it’s best to keep your utilization below 30%, and for the strongest credit scores, many experts recommend staying under 10%.

A few tips:
