Understanding the different options you have is extremely important. Making the wrong choice can be very costly and cause unneeded stress and worry. If you, or someone you care for, have any questions, please give me a call at 614.397.2895. Thanks!

When looking at Advantage or Drug plans to go along with your Medicare, it is important to understand the 4 stages of drug coverage. This picture might help with that. Remember, many plans do NOT include a deductible stage. Meaning you skip that stage and go directly to the "initial coverage" stage.

Questions? Give me a call/text/email. 614.397.2895 or [email protected]

AEP is almost over. Let me know if you have any questions.

In Central Ohio, we have a large number of companies to choose from for Medicare Coverage. Each of those companies has 4 or more plans to choose from. The key is finding the right one for YOU.

Medications- which carrier and plan cover YOUR meds in the most cost-effective way.

Doctors- Which plans have the doctors that YOU want to see.

My job is to help you make the right decision. What is right for you may not be right for your spouse. Each person has their own needs, and plans change from year to year.

AEP is just a couple weeks away. Let me know if I can help.

If you have questions regarding the Medicare Part B Give Back read this:

If you are reading this you are searching for more guidance on the "Medicare Part B Give Back".

Most likely you have seen a very predatory commercial telling you that you should call a random 800 number that is not affiliated, endorsed, certified, or approved by CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

The person on the other end is just trying to get your Medicare number and address so they can switch your plan without your knowledge. Even if you want to switch you must understand that these calls are not from licensed agents as licensed agents are not permitted to call you unless you have given consent by filling out a "Permission to Call" form or a business reply card.

There is a Part B give back in some counties on Medicare Advantage plans but most people don't qualify for them or don't want to give up their prescription drug coverage. The people that do are either on their states version of Medicaid and meet the states poverty threshold where the Medicare Part B premium is waived or a Veteran who is using their local VA system for prescription drugs and has enrolled in Medicare Advantage plan that does not included drug coverage (MA-only).

In order for anyone else to qualify they would be giving up Medicare Part D (prescription drug coverage) and enrolling in a "MA-only" plan.

In my home county of Franklin located in Columbus, Ohio, the highest Part B give back for those who do not qualify for Medicaid and will forgo Part D (with a penalty later on if they pick up a Part D plan again) is $40 in 2021. This money goes back into your social security benefit, it is not sent separately by Medicare or any insurance carrier.

For more information or questions regarding the Part B give back call your agent directly or reach out to one of ours.

We are happy to give you the Medicare guidance you deserve.
