Today is a day of remembrance. Please enjoy the day. But remember why you get the day off. It’s a day to honor the fallen; those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Eat all the hotdogs and hamburgers. Play all the golf and swim in all the pools and Drink all the Beers. But take a few minutes at least to reflect and give a moment of silence for the ones who can’t be her to celebrate.

I’ve lost too many friends and fellow service members to count, both in wars abroad and the ones that get brought home. It’s ok to thank service members today, but be mindful that they are all thinking about the ones they’ve lost. Here are only a handful of mine.

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: Current and former Service Members.

1. You are NOT Required to use Veterans United, USAA, Navy Fed, etc to use your VA Loan Benefit

2. 97% of those companies are not even made up of anyone who ever served.

A. VU - ~ 2% Veteran
B. USAA - Civilian CEO that just got a 40% raise in the first year they’ve ever reported a loss.
C. Navy Fed - 😑 enough said in the title.

Talk about one for the record books. Couldn’t be more happy and honored to have helped this disabled medically retired Navy Veteran and his family. 5 other lenders said absolutely not. The Navy had overpaid him after medically releasing him and then threw a collection on his credit report that he didn’t know about until we pulled credit. After so many things life threw at this family, they persevered and we were right there fighting beside them to get this done just in time for Easter and a birthday!
