Madison County Sheriff's investigators are warning citizens about a local scam that is circulating throughout our area involving a local business.

Investigators have learned that several scammers posing as employees of Bad Boy Bail Bonding in Huntsville have gained personal information about the loop families of incarcerated inmates and are asking for Green Dot MoneyPak cards and/or Cashapp transactions in order to post bonds for the inmate(s) family members.

The unknown suspects are identifying themselves as "Terry Brown" and "Wayne" and are calling from area codes 205 and 251 telephone numbers.

Bonding companies DO NOT operate like this and the owner/manager of Bad Boy Bonding has asked that if you feel that you’re a victim under these circumstances to notify them at 256-880-5245.
