Happy New Home Day to Eric! Levi with This Lane Home at Keller Williams Preferred did an excellent job as usual, helping him through the purchasing process. I have good neighbors. This is Mr. Albert, and we have lived beside each other for 11 years. This morning we were both mowing our lawns. We stopped to talk, and he told me he is almost 89 years old. You wouldn’t know it because he hardly stops. He said he is just so thankful to God, who didn’t owe him one day, much less almost 89 years, and he is still able to get up and mow the lawn (and all the other things he does). He says God is good and he wants to give God praise because He gave us His Son so we could be with Him. He gives us everything we have.

Every time I see Mr. Albert- and I mean every time - he is so joyful and tells me to “keep spreadin’ that joy”. He stresses that we need to be thankful to God. What a great message. I believe Mr. Albert is right on target.

Today I am thankful my neighbor is always a good witness to me. He is showing me a good way to Love the Lord. I wonder why it is so difficult to be as thankful and joyful as Mr. Albert. I’m probably not the only one who has wondered this.

Why do you think it is hard for us to be thankful and have joy?
