Gift funds up to $19000 per year are not taxed. And it gets better - couples gifting to couples can provide $76000 without getting taxed. It’s 4 separate $19000 checks. And at the end of the year you can double it up if you wrote checks on 12/31 and then on New Year’s Day. It’s kinda crazy what families can do to help first time buyers.
