As the wind picks up, here are a few tips to prepare for possible power outages:
- Charge cell phones and any other battery powered devices fully.
- Only use flashlights for emergency lighting, candles may cause a fire.
- Turn off or disconnect appliances and other electronics to protect against power surges.
