✨Meet The Team Monday✨

This week, we are proud to spotlight Schanah McIlwain and celebrate her 5 years with Homeland Bank!

Schanah began her career at Homeland Bank as a teller, where she quickly became known for her friendly personality, strong work ethic, and dedication to serving customers with care and professionalism. Through her hard work and commitment to learning and growing within the company, she transitioned into her current role in Compliance.

One of the things Schanah says she enjoys most about working at Homeland Bank is the relationships she has built along the way and the opportunity to continue growing both personally and professionally.

Outside of work, Schanah’s greatest joy is spending time with her family. She and her husband, Cole, have been married for 5 years and are proud parents to their two children, Maddie Jo (3) and Nash (1). Whether it’s making memories at home, enjoying family outings, or simply spending quality time together, family is at the center of everything she does.

Schanah is also active in her faith and enjoys attending Outreach Baptist Church.

We are thankful for Schanah’s dedication, hard work, and the impact she continues to make at Homeland Bank each day. Thank you, Schanah, for being such an important part of the Homeland Bank family! 💙

Whitney Laffoon has been an integral part of the Homeland Bank family for the past five years, beginning her journey as the bank’s phone operator before advancing to her current role as a Loan Assistant/Processor specializing in Change in Terms.

Among her colleagues, she is best known for her laid-back personality and an eagerness to learn. Whitney is always willing to expand her knowledge in banking and take on new challenges. 💡💪

Outside of work, Whitney’s greatest joy is her friends and family. ❤️ She loves spending time with her husband and their two boys. 🥰
