Please join us this Wednesday at 7 in DMSB 111 for Russ Shoemaker. He is an Associate at Jeffries, a very prestigious investment bank, in NY. He works in Mergers & Acquisitions. Anyone considering a position in Investment Banking should make sure to come!

We will be having a meeting tomorrow night at 7pm in the DMSB room 111. Dress is business casual. Austin Mosier, a Senior Investment and Funding Analyst at AgFirst Credit Farm Bank, will be joining us to speak about his experiences and career at AgFirst.

With assets of more than $27 billion, AgFirst provides funding and financial services to farmer-owned financial cooperatives. Should be another great presentation and will be an excellent opportunity to gain insight into a different side of the financial sector.

The CFIA will be hosting it's first meeting of the semester tomorrow night at 6pm in DMSB room 123. Dress is business casual. We will be having Jimmy Addison, currently the CFO at SCANA, join us to speak about corporate finance and his experiences in the field.

Also, please join us after the meeting at World of Beer for a networking/social event. We have reserved the upstairs area and will be providing appetizers.

We will be having Bryan Moore from the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission coming in to speak. Currently, Bryan is a director of the public markets group at the SCRSIC.

We will be having a meeting tonight at 7pm in the DMSB room 136. Dress is business casual and food and drinks will be provided! The Carolina Fund will be running through a stock pitch they recently had for their fund and they will be speaking about what makes a great investment. Please bring $25 for dues if you have not already done so.

As a reminder, we are hosting a resume workshop tonight from 6pm-7pm in room 136 right before the meeting. Please bring a copy of your resume to the workshop. We will be presenting about resume building/formatting and we will be reviewing resumes at the end. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Dr. Peter Brews, who is our current Dean of the Darla Moore School of Business, will be joining us. He will be speaking about his experiences in banking/finance along with his career in academia. Before coming to the Moore School, Dean Brews worked at Barclays Bank PLC in South Africa.

Our next meeting will be tomorrow night at 7pm in room 136 of the DMSB - dress is business casual and food and drinks will be provided! We will be having Anil Gulati and Ash Misra joining us to speak about the private equity and management consulting industries and their experiences within their respective fields. Anil is a graduate of USC's MBA program is currently a Managing Partner at Stelaris. Ash is a graduate of USC's MIBS program and has had a diverse career in management consulting, and healthcare. He is currently the founder and CEO of VetPathDx - veterinary diagnostics data startup.
Also, the deadline for dues will be tomorrow night. If you have not done so already, please bring in $25 so you can officially become a member of the CFIA.
