As many of you know, my husband Ryan spent over 20 years in law enforcement. While he had several close calls, he came home safely every night—and for that, I am incredibly thankful.

But I am just as thankful for the men and women in dispatch. They are the calm in the chaos, the steady voice behind the scenes, watching over our officers, firefighters, and paramedics. They have their backs 24 hours a day, guiding them through every shift.

Dispatching—communications—is often a thankless and overlooked job, but it is absolutely vital. I am a living testament to that.

So during this week of Telecommunications Appreciation, I want to say thank you to all of our telecommunications officers and dispatchers across Indiana and the United States. Thank you for keeping our officers, firefighters, EMTs, and our communities safe.

You are appreciated more than you know. ❤️
