Let me introduce myself for those that don’t know me as well. My name is Liz Everett & very first, thank you for following my page! I think sometimes we just have to remind people who we are and what we do. Especially when you’re choosing a professional to work with. Not only are you looking for someone experienced but also it’s important to know who you’re working with.
This October I will be starting my 17th year in this Mortgage journey. I’ve absolutely love working in residential real estate. My favorite thing is to help people with homeownership. No one situation is the same. People have different lives and different goals. This job keeps me on my toes. I often ask what is my specialty. Is there a loan type? And I would have to say at this point no, I don’t have one specialty.
You learn experience over the years and certain loan types become easier to do for people. However, I have been starting more complex lending such as alternative lending, reverse mortgages, and Construction. I’m enjoying the challenge and the uniqueness of the loan products.
I have been known to be a VA expert at multiple companies. I take that very serious as I love working with my active duty military and veteran families. I also love the challenge of helping people buy their first home. There is a lot of planning involved to piecing together down payment assistance programs.
I love to research and learn. You’ll never know everything. It is all about paying attention to guidelines, staying up-to-date with updates, and using resources well.
All of these items have made me into a great loan officer, professional in my community, and I take pride and helping others. I communicate well. I stand by my preapprovals because I review everything not just a computer screen. AI doesn’t help you with everything.
Mortgage lending shouldn’t just be about picking up the phone and going online or calling an 800 number. I promise you personalized service and somebody local is absolutely make or break in this industry. I’m not going anywhere and I’m proud to serve Colorado & New Mexico clients.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. I’m always here even if it’s general. Or you’re looking down the road. Having a plan in place is always important.
