What’s one household rule you swore you’d never have when you became a parent… and then you became a parent?

Maybe it’s “because I said so.” Maybe bedtime is way earlier than you thought it would be. Maybe you’ve threatened to throw away every toy on the floor at least once. 😂

Or maybe you’ve gone the opposite direction and there’s something your parents did that you decided you’d NEVER do in your own house.

I feel like becoming a parent has a funny way of making you understand some things… and question others even more.

What’s yours? 👇

Imagine getting a few hours of your week handed back to you. 🤍

That’s what The Laundry Lady is really about.

Yes, we wash, dry and fold laundry. But what we’re really giving our clients is time. Time to spend with their family, get caught up on everything else, enjoy their day off, or simply have one less thing on their list.

Our team picks everything up, handles it with care, folds it neatly, and brings it right back to your door.

It’s a simple service that can make a surprisingly big difference in your week.

Your time is valuable. Let us handle the laundry. ✨

It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago I had an eviction notice on my door every month.

I was constantly playing catch up. By the time I scraped together enough to pay the rent, the late fees, and the extra $350 just to stop the eviction process, the next month’s rent would be due only days later.

And then I’d do it all over again.

It was a cycle I genuinely didn’t know if I would ever get ahead of.

Back then, I wasn’t thinking about awards, expansion, or building an empire. I was thinking about surviving.

Today I’m holding a Gold Best of the Springs plaque for a business I built from the ground up.

We’ve expanded into Utah. We’re working on making our way into Arizona. We have a sister company in North Carolina. And soon, I’ll be teaching other people how to start and scale their own laundry service too.

Sometimes I’m so focused on where I’m going that I forget to stop and look at where I came from.

The woman who was counting every dollar, fighting off another eviction, and wondering if she’d ever finally get ahead would be so damn proud of the woman holding this plaque today.

And I think that means more to me than the plaque itself. 🩷

One thing entrepreneurship will teach you is how to get comfortable being lonely.

You have to get comfortable with people not understanding your vision.

You have to get comfortable making decisions that don’t make sense to anyone else yet. Taking risks other people wouldn’t take. Working toward something they can’t see. Saying no to things you wish you could say yes to because you know what you’re trying to build.

And sometimes, you have to get comfortable being misunderstood because of it.

People see how much you work, but they don’t always understand the why behind it.

They don’t see the vision that keeps you up at night. They don’t feel the excitement you feel when you think about what this could become. They don’t understand why reaching one goal somehow makes you even hungrier for the next one.

And they don’t have to.

I think that’s something I’ve had to learn.

Not everyone is going to understand why I want multiple businesses. Why I want to expand into different states. Why I’m willing to start from scratch somewhere new when I’ve already built something successful where I am.

The vision was given to me. I’m the one responsible for seeing what I can turn it into.

There’s a certain loneliness that comes with that.

But I’m learning that if you want to build something bigger than what people around you can currently see, you have to be okay with being the only one who sees it for a while.

You don’t need everyone to understand the vision.

You just have to believe in it enough to keep building. 🩷

‼️𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 ‼️

I’m looking for dependable, detail-oriented people throughout Colorado Springs and Fountain to help with laundry orders.

This is an 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. You’ll pick up laundry from a client’s home, wash, dry, and fold it for them, then return it neatly packaged to their doorstep.

🧺 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬:
Once you accept an order, you typically have until 8 PM that day to complete pick-up. Most orders are 2-day turnaround, with some next-day or same-day requests. There are no set hours — you choose which orders you accept.

Pay is per pound based on turnaround time, and I have a $25 minimum payout per order. That means even very small loads can turn into quick $25 that don’t take much time but are still worth accepting.

This is meant to be a side gig, not full-time income. It’s perfect for someone who does DoorDash or Instacart, works from home, is a single parent, or simply wants flexible extra income without committing to fixed hours.

💰 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝):
• $1.00/lb – 2-day turnaround
• $1.25/lb – Next-day service
• $1.65/lb – Same-day service
• You keep 100% of tips

You can also earn additional pay when clients request add-ons like color catchers, OxiClean, organic or specialty detergents, and other custom product requests.

For reference, a full 13-gallon trash bag typically weighs around 12–18 pounds.

🚗 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬:
I send orders to team members who live closest to the pick-up location first. If you choose to accept an order that’s further out, I offer a bonus to help cover your time and gas.

When an order becomes available, you’ll be given the pick-up address before accepting. You are never required to accept an order. If it’s too far for you, you can decline.

🧼 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• Your own washer & dryer
• Reliable vehicle
• Strong communication skills
• A scale to weigh orders
• Large clear trash bags for returns
• Small clear liners to keep socks and undergarments contained

📌 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭:
This role works best for someone who is organized, responsive, and takes pride in their work. Clear communication and reliability are non-negotiable.

This is an independent contractor role. You are responsible for tracking your own mileage, supplies, and expenses for tax write-offs. Taxes are not withheld, and you manage your own bookkeeping.

If you’re in Colorado Springs or Fountain and this sounds like a good fit, send me a message and we’ll schedule an interview.

I’m excited to welcome the right people to the team. 💪

Back to school season is officially here, and somehow the laundry multiplies right along with the school supplies. 😂🧺

Between getting everyone out the door in the morning, work, school pickup, homework, dinner, activities, and trying to squeeze in a little time for yourself, there are only so many hours in the day.

If laundry is one of the things you’d happily hand off this week, we’ve got you. 🩷

Now through 8/16, current clients can take $10 off and new clients can take $15 off when booking online and mentioning code 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋.

One less thing on the to-do list sounds like a pretty good way to start the school year. 🧺✨

Do less laundry. Live more life.

Behind every concert, sporting event, festival, and large event is a team working hard to make it all happen. Those uniforms put in long hours, and someone has to keep them clean and ready for the next event.

That’s where we come in.

For the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of handling the laundry for one of the teams working behind the scenes at the Ford Amphitheater, making sure their uniforms are clean, fresh, and ready to go for every show.

Commercial laundry isn’t just for hotels and hospitals. We work with businesses that need uniforms, towels, linens, or other laundry professionally washed on a consistent schedule. We offer reliable service, free pickup and delivery, and flexible scheduling so you can spend more time focusing on your business.

If your business is spending too much time doing laundry, I’d love to chat about how we can help.
