Big news for VA buyers! 👏🇺🇸

The VA recently updated its property requirements, making the loan process more streamlined.

Notable changes include:

• Detached sheds/outbuildings no longer required to meet VA standards
• Radon testing/certifications removed from VA requirements
• Non-vented heater certifications no longer required
• Peeling paint guidelines for homes built after 1978 have been simplified

These changes result in fewer repair hurdles and make more homes eligible for VA financing.

The VA loan continues to be one of the best and most flexible loan programs available — and these updates help remove some unnecessary hurdles during the process. 🏡

Have to back up a little bit to 5/4/26, as that was a proud day for our team. 👏

All on that day, we closed 4 refinance transactions. 🏡

3 homeowners were able to secure lower interest rates and reduce their monthly mortgage payments.

Another homeowner used their equity to pay off two large credit card balances, lower their overall monthly obligations, and still walked away with nearly $40,000 for other expenses.

Every situation is different, but this is exactly why we love what we do — helping people create a little more breathing room financially. 🙌
