Today was yet another surgery on my foot/ankle. I switched to a new doctor for this 4th surgery in just over a year. The surgeon seems hopeful he was able to make a difference. The biggest difference so far is the nerve block that has me TOTALLY numb from the knee down. We’ll see how I feel when it wears off. So Christine is back to playing nurse, chauffeur, chef, pharmacist, housekeeper, and just bout every other role while I recover. (Let’s face it, she already did most of those roles anyway). Thankful for the doctors and nurses on my team today! You were all great…..

Had a great event hosting clients at the US Olympic Museum tonight. Got to hold the 2020 Tokyo torch! Looking forward to watching the games the next few weeks!

Every now and then a person needs to disconnect from the hustle and bustle to refresh the mind and soul. As my kids continue to grow into young adults, I realize how precious time with them is and I look forward to making the most of the time we have. Today I get ready to head out on a 1-month sabbatical from Charles Schwab. This break from work will give me time to reflect on my work and think about the direction forward. I know my clients will be well served by my partners at Schwab in my absence. And I look forward to coming back in August refreshed and ready to give my clients the best I have to offer! There is much work to be done!
