Starting Brightway Insurance, The Fast Agency during one of the toughest times in the insurance industry wasn’t exactly the “easy road”… but it’s been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. The challenges, the unknowns, and the constant changes pushed me to grow in ways I never expected.

I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who supported me along the way—whether you trusted me with your insurance, referred a friend, or simply cheered me on. Because of you, I’ve built meaningful relationships and had the privilege of serving so many amazing individuals and families across Colorado.

Somehow along the way, I’ve also been balancing running a nonprofit (Rogue Veterans Mountain Bike Alliance), growing the agency, being a mom and a wife, and supporting my husband’s business, Inspectors Plus… safe to say, it’s been a wild ride.

❤️ Valentine’s Day – How It Really Began ❤️

Valentine’s Day wasn’t originally about roses and romance.

Its roots trace back to ancient Rome and a festival called Lupercalia, held in mid-February. It was a pagan celebration focused on fertility and the coming of spring.

As Christianity spread, the Church sought to replace pagan festivals with Christian observances. February 14th became associated with Saint Valentine, a priest who secretly performed marriages when Emperor Claudius II banned them. Valentine believed in love and commitment — even when it was forbidden.

By the Middle Ages, people believed birds began choosing their mates in mid-February, further linking the date to romance. In the 1700s, handwritten love notes became popular in England… and by the 1800s, mass-produced Valentine’s cards turned the holiday into the commercial celebration we know today.

So how was Valentine’s Day “created”?
It evolved — from pagan festival ➡️ Christian remembrance ➡️ romantic tradition ➡️ global celebration of love.

From secret weddings to Hallmark cards, one thing has stayed the same:
