Most of the time my posts are about insurance but we've seen a real uptick on requests to add solar panels to the insurance policy (OK it is about insurance - I confess). Here is a link to one we recently were asked about (see below) but in essence we can add the extra cost of the solar panels to the insurance policy. I've seen more requests to insure those installed on the tiny home itself but we've seen a fair share of detached ones where you run a cable to them. Pretty cool off-grid concept.

Reduced insurance cost! We managed to get a 10% rate reduction since we have insured so many tiny homes! I added our link below but we're also working on a chat feature insurance quote :-) More on that coming as we test it.

Just did our annual review with our insurance company partner and I’m proud to say that they are happy with our program. We had a few weird claims this year but nothing major. Here is to year 6!!!
