Why do some employers offer benefits without paying anything out of pocket?
Because there are actually options to do that, and for some businesses, it’s the right starting point.
There are benefit structures where employees can elect and pay for their own coverage, whether that’s medical alternatives, voluntary benefits, or ancillary options. It allows employers to offer something instead of nothing, especially if budget is tight or the company is still growing.
