We were founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Ill., teachers who wanted to provide quality, affordable auto insurance to teachers. Since then we have grown from an auto insurance company into the largest multiline insurance company focusing on America’s educators. We are also proud to share our name with the father of the American public education system, Horace Mann. He believed every child should

receive a basic education and worked hard to provide new opportunities for millions of children. We share his work ethic and make it our mission to serve the nation’s educators and their families by providing quality, affordable insurance and financial products.
