Friends, I'm afraid I have some bad blueberry news: there are NO blueberries to be found here at the farm๐Ÿ˜ฉ. After being open and picking for just four partial days, I regret to say we are done for this season. Some contributing factors: 1. In the spring, two different cold snaps froze a lot of our tiny flowers that would have been berries, really reducing our berry quantity this season. 2. Our first variety of berries to ripen was also quick to vanish. (After investigating, the raccoon and deer were to blame.) 3. There is currently no water in the creek to drink, so blueberries are looking really juicy and good to the foraging animals. (There's been rain, but not enough to balance all the hot, humid, heat advisory days we've had.) A big thanks to everyone who made it out to pick, and our sincere apologies to those who didn't. (Especially with the limited hours I had to keep due to the sun/temp sickness I had this year.) I'd love to ask my dad (in heaven) if he ever saw such a crazy fast blueberry season as this one was? (I hope to never see another one like it.) Fingers crossed for a plentiful season in 2027. ๐Ÿ˜ Marie

Yes, friends, a beautiful day is in store with a real-feel of 78.* We will be open tomorrow, Wed., July 22, from 9am to 1pm. An important note about picking conditions: Berries are mainly inside the bushes and under leaves, as well as at the tops of bushes. (Of course, we all pick the easy ones first ๐Ÿ˜). I know this isn't very kid-friendly or for the impatient, but that's where we are now. After picking these, we'll close for 5-7 days to re-ripen berries. I'll hopefully be able to do some evening hours at that time also. **Remember to bring a take-home container and your drinks, please.** - Marie

Hey friends, we're expecting a rainy day today at the farm, so instead of playing in it on and off today, let's see what kind of day tomorrow is. So far, AccuWeather is calling for a pretty nice day on Wed, July 22. I'll post later tonight to confirm, along with the planned open time. That's what I'm leaning towards. Thanks, Marie.๐Ÿ˜

Friends, the Air Quality Alert wasn't lifted after all and extends through tomorrow until early afternoon. I have decided to be OPEN anyway TOMORROW MONDAY July 20 from* 9am to 1pm*. Hopefully, it won't be too bad for those with breathing issues. There is a SMALL chance our hours may be extended longer tomorrow afternoon; however, thunderstorms are expected later in the afternoon, with hail possible. We don't want to be any part of that, understandably. *Please remember your drinks and containers for berries. *๐Ÿ˜

Friends, I've decided: no picking for today, July 19. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience. However, since the Air Quality Alert is planned to be lifted later today, I'm considering picking tomorrow, Monday (JULY 20) if the weather does go as planned. I know, we never do Mondays, but much is unconventional this season. I will let you know for sure as the day progresses and post any update as soon as possible. ๐Ÿ˜ท my baby emoji as a mask on,.....lol Marie

Sorry friends, another day closed for us. Let's hope the poor air moves out and the temps are reasonable enough for me to tolerate.{ I'm feeling improvements, but I'm still having trouble tolerating heat and humidity.) I will reevaluate again in the morning. Sorry for any inconvenience. Marie๐Ÿ˜ท

Sorry, due to the poor air quality from the wildfire in Canada, we will not be open today. We will re-evaluate the air quality each morning and will re-open when things get better.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Friends, we are ready to pick, BUT... Due to the relentless temps and my recent heat exhaustion 7 days ago (I'm still not fully back to normal). There will be some changes for 2026: NO normal business hours or days. The hours and days open will depend on the upcoming expected temperatures and what I can handle. Ill post the schedule 2 days at a time. ******OPEN TOMORROW WED JULY 15 and TURSDAY JULY 16 ******* 8am to 12 noon ONLY both days . PS.. Be aware last season WE CLOSED IN ONLY 10 DAYS (this season I expect it to be even quicker due to the early frost that we lost berries in so less berries for now .....FINALLY, .*BRIN YOUR COLD DRINK AND CONTAINER* ๐Ÿ˜
