Char, Makenna, and Kala had a wonderful time at the Union City Middle/High School Career Fair! 🙌 They connected with more than 500 students, discussing the diverse career opportunities available in the banking industry. They also shared information about our Financially Fit Resource Center and emphasized the value of building strong financial knowledge early in life.

A big thank you to Union City Schools for hosting such a great event. We enjoyed meeting students and encouraging them as they explore their future career paths! 👏

Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact! 💚

Mrs. Boers’ 2nd grade class at Mendon Elementary recently stopped by our Mendon branch to surprise Doreen Tobin, Branch Manager, with two very special gifts. After participating in Junior Achievement lessons with Doreen, the students created a beautiful flower and even took up a collection to purchase an eagle as a thank-you gift.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with local students and help inspire the next generation through financial education. Thank you, Mrs. Boers’ class, for your kindness and thoughtfulness! 👏

Southern Michigan Bank & Trust has generously provided the 18th prize for the John Rohloff Coldwater Exchange Club Duck Race to be held June 6th at Waterworks Park.

SMBT is proud to support the Marshall District Library and their Summer Reading Program and Scavenger Hunt! 📚

We're excited to be a participating location and encourage families to get involved, explore the community, and enjoy a summer filled with reading, learning, and fun. Be sure to stop by and join the adventure! 🙌

Back for a sixth year, is the library's annual scavenger hunt.! Beginning June 8, Marshall is transformed into a Museum of Natural History, & you are invited to discover the dinosaurs on display (or hidden)! Search for each dinosaur in participating locations...and Unearth a Story along the way. Earn special edition cards with fun facts about different dinos and do a mini excavation on each as you work to create a story.

Pick up a Field Guide at the library at one of our Kick Off parties or beginning Saturday, June 6 to start your personal collection. All ages are encouraged to play...while supplies last!

Created by Kevin Woodward, The Pit will provide local teens with a safe, supervised place to spend time after school, complete homework, build life skills, and connect with others in a positive environment! 🙌
