🤔 DID YOU KNOW? Just because a loan doesn't show up on your credit report doesn't mean it won't affect your ability to qualify for a mortgage.

Many Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) accounts, such as:
✔️ Klarna
✔️ Affirm
✔️ Snap Finance
✔️ Uplift (or other similar financing)
..may not report to the credit bureaus, but they can still count against your debt-to-income ratio.

🏡 During the mortgage process, we review your bank statements. If we see recurring payments for installment loans with more than 10 months remaining, we'll generally need to include those monthly payments in your qualifying debts—even if they aren't on your credit report.

💡 Before applying for a mortgage, it's always a good idea to let your loan officer know about any financing or payment plans you're using. There are no surprises that way, and we can help you plan ahead!
