Scam Alert: Protect Your Account 🚨

Fraudsters are spoofing our phone number to make fake calls look like they’re coming directly from us. Here’s how to know it’s actually us on the line:

We notify you first: We’ll always send a text or email before calling.

We verify who we are: Our team will identify themselves and provide a valid case number.

We NEVER ask for:

Your full 16-digit card number

Your CVV (security code on the back)

Online banking credentials or money transfers

If a call feels suspicious, hang up immediately and call us directly at 218-879-4181. Stay safe and double-check before sharing any information!

Scammers are always finding new ways to gain access to personal and financial information, but knowing the warning signs can help you stay protected.

Never share your password, PIN, online banking credentials, or one-time verification codes. If a call, text, or email seems suspicious, avoid clicking links or responding. Instead, contact the organization directly using a trusted phone number or website.

When in doubt, pause and verify. A few extra moments can help keep your information and money safe. Don't forget that NCU will never ask you to give out personal information!

It is with great sadness that Northwoods Credit Union shares the passing of our Board Chairperson, Jeffrey "Jeff" Kletscher.

Jeff joined the Northwoods Credit Union Board in 2018 following our merger with Floodwood Area Credit Union, where he had served as a board member for many years. For the past eight years he brought his leadership, knowledge, wisdom and unwavering commitment to our credit union and the members we serve.

Those who had the privilege of working alongside Jeff appreciated his steady leadership and his commitment to the "People Helping People" credit union values. Jeff has made a lasting impact on our organization.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Jeff's family, friends and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
