If most millionaires aren't professional athletes...

And most millionaires aren't social media celebrities...

And most millionaires are self-made...

What path did many of them take?

Ownership.

Building skills.

Creating value.

Starting businesses.

Taking calculated risks.

Let's play a game of "Would You Rather?"

Would you rather spend the next 40 years hoping your income grows enough to support the life you want?

Or...

Would you rather build something that gives you the opportunity to create income, develop leadership skills, and eventually own an asset that can continue generating value even when you're not personally working every hour of every day?

Here's the interesting part:

Studies have found that the vast majority of millionaires are self-made—not because they had wealthy parents, but because they built skills, created value, and consistently made decisions that improved their future.

That's what attracted me to business ownership.

Not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Not overnight success.

The ability to build something.

To lead people.

To create opportunities.

To have my effort directly impact my results.

One of the reasons I love the insurance industry is that unlike many businesses, there is no inventory sitting on shelves, no warehouse full of products, and no massive upfront investment required to get started.

You simply start.

You learn.

You grow.

You serve people well.

And over time, you build something bigger than yourself.

The question isn't whether you can build a better future.

The question is whether you're willing to start. Let me show you the way. DM me if you're ready to start.

At age 20, I learned a lesson that changed my life forever.

I had three jobs and couldn't afford to pay my $111 credit card bill.

I still remember having just $6 to my name and staring at a $25 minimum payment I couldn't make.

It was the broke-est I've ever been, and I'll never forget that April.

The strange part wasn't that I wasn't working.

I was working all the time.

I was just working without a plan.

Then a mentor sat me down and changed the way I thought about money.

He was only six years older than me, but he was getting ready to pay off his house.

He talked to me about budgeting.

He talked to me about planning for the future.

He talked to me about being intentional with every dollar instead of spending everything I earned.

Most importantly, he talked to me about income.

He explained that one of the reasons he had gotten ahead was because he chose a career where his earning potential was largely determined by his effort, skill, and growth—not by a fixed salary.

That conversation changed everything.

I took a sales position and started shedding the other jobs I didn't need any longer.

I committed to a budget.

I started learning.

I started growing.

I started thinking long-term.

At first, nothing looked different.

Then things stabilized.

Then I had money to save.

Then opportunities started appearing.

Years later, those small decisions turned into business ownership, real estate opportunities, and conversations about projects that my 20-year-old self couldn't have imagined.

Looking back, the biggest lesson wasn't about money.

It was this:

Most people are waiting for clarity before they start.

But clarity often comes after you start.

You don't need all the answers.

You need a goal.

A plan.

A willingness to learn.

And the courage to take the first step.

The path to success isn't usually a shortcut.

It's a series of small, disciplined decisions repeated over and over again.

🤔 **Would You Rather?**

**Option A:**
Buy a successful, fully operational agency where the current owner is going independent — and may try to take as many customers with them as possible.

**OR**

**Option B:**
Buy a successful, fully operational agency where the current owner is retiring — and is willing to stay on to help with customer retention and ensure a smooth transition while you focus on growth.

Most people don't fail because they lack opportunity.

They fail because they're looking for quick certainty.

They want to know exactly how everything will work before they start.

The problem is that the shortest path to "success" is often filled with distractions, shortcuts, and promises that sound too good to be true.

The path that actually works is usually longer.

Learn.

Build skills.

Earn.

Invest.

Reinvest.

Stay consistent.

My own journey wasn't built on one big break. It was built on a commission-based career, continual learning, investing the extra dollars, and taking ownership opportunities when they appeared.

You don't need all the answers.

You need a starting point.

Set a big goal.

Take the first step.

Then keep moving.

The people who build real wealth aren't usually the ones looking for shortcuts.

They're the ones willing to stay on the path long enough for compounding to do its job.
